In the 1960's, Mr Roger Massé, professional miner and inventor, already had the desire to make working conditions for workers in the mining industry safer.

It is with a tenacity and steely resolve that, two decades later, his vision came to be when he manufactured the first V-30 boring head. This new technology revolutionized the world of mining in the way slot raises were drilled.

It was in Val d'Or, Quebec, in 1984, that Mr. Massé founded the company that employed 3 employees at that time.

Since then, Machines Roger International has consistently innovated to offer the mining industry safe and efficient products and services.  To this end, a contracting division was added to its manufacturing division, in order to provide the mining industry with specialised custom contract drilling services.

In 2001 Mr. Massé handed over responsability for the company to Mr. Alain Béland. The new administration, motivated by the success already established company, continued to innovate by bringing to market a new pneumatic drill carrier, the V-King.

In 2009, proud of its accomplishments and especially for having realized the original mission of the founder: "making safer working conditions for miners'', the company celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Today, Machines Roger International employ's more than one hundred employees and exports its products in over fifteen countries throughout the world.
